in london!

attempting to refrain from the "jolly old" thing, as i fell it's a bit warn out. none the less, flew over on a semi enjoyable flight, the seat between me and the guy at the window was empty, so we took it over...i brought a pillow and my mothers ambien, yet didn't sleep more than 3 hours. curses. but i'm at my brothers place, and we're gettting things figured out as per what shall do here and in scandinavia. i can hear big ben from his room, and see the london eye walking from the tube to his place. *squeal* i'm happy to be in london again!

went to a show at the National Theatre last night: "Citizenship". great play, done by the National Youth Theatre. it was introduced by Martin Freeman, who some of you will know...he was hysterical. today went to Kew Gardens...v.v.v.v. hot and a lot of the plants had just given up, so felt it was a bit of a waste...however, were some cool statues and such, ended up using a roll of film. huzzah! off to another show, and then for a drink with a friend i met in vienna last year, an australian who's living here now. ta, all. any strangers are welcome to comment on this!

permanent flee

my reasons for yearning to move to canada:

1. legal gay marriage
2. i can handle the rain in the british columbia province
3. canadians have WICKED senses of humour
4. adding a -u- to words like "colour" and "humour" makes for wicked fun spelling bees
5. hockey, hockey, and need i say hockey?

more coming soon. i am indeed planning my permanent exile to canada. i can get my MA and PhD in women's studies at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and even though the Cannucks (hockey team) piss me off, i can over look that to be permanently displaced in hockey lovers mecca. okay, mecca would be Toronto...but i don't think i can handle that much snow.

fleeing!

i'll be fleeing the country again shortly. YAY! couldn't have picked a more fortunate time, too, with Sandra Day-O'Connor retiring. there go my reproductive rights. i despise W.
